The Chosen Ones, 2017

This is the latest painting in a series of abstract pieces on wood, exploring texture, colour, and geometrical shapes. This piece is sublime in its messy, chaotic order of colour, line, and texture. You can almost feel and taste the candy-like vibrant colour. There are some underlying colours and shapes that give this painting structure, reminiscent of the "Blue Poles" from Jackson Pollock, but not in style. The texture is tangible, and the colour and shapes seem to be almost "locked" into a "grid" of some semblance of order. It is a fun and happy painting that adds life to the room. There always seems to be something new to look at in it.
