About Yury Darashkevich
I was born in 1962 in Belarus. I graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of the Arts. Upon graduation, I began a career in illustration and graphic design, painting in my spare time. After several successful solo shows, I started to devote my attention to visual art. Making this career change, I moved to Toronto, Canada. As a full-time artist, I became an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists in 2009. In 2010, I opened my second studio in Palm Beach, FL, and recently in Ponta Delgada (Portugal). Currently, my artworks are exhibited in art galleries across the US, Canada and Portugal.
My works can be found in collections such as: Hilton Collection of Art, USA; Collection of Sara Blakely (Spanx founder), USA; National Art Museum of Belarus, Minsk, Belarus; Museum of Contemporary Art of Belarus, Minsk, Belarus; Volksbank Collection, Germany; Villa Weiner, Germany; etc.
