About Natalia Shchipakina

1Exhibition

Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques, oil painting is my favourite.

Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by famous artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan and Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.

About this artwork

The painting depicts the beautiful coastal scenery of Costa Brava (Catalonia, Spain) on a serene and moonlit night. The rocky cliffs, which are a defining feature of the region's landscape, jut out dramatically into the calm sea. The crescent moon in the sky adds a touch of mystique and charm to the natural beauty of the scene. The colours I used in the painting create a tranquil ambience. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
