A holiday to the French and Italian Alps has inspired a collection of mountain paintings.
This painting was inspired by the striking contrast between foreground and background. I love the feeling of space and solitude and the awesome enormity of the mountains in the distance. Changeable sky and weather conditions are synonymous with these high altitudes and the white billowy clouds add movement to the scene.
