About Anna Tasheva
I am a self-taught artist based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (originally from Ukraine), working primarily with oil on canvas. My artistic journey began with a deep-rooted passion for painting, which has evolved into a meaningful form of expression and storytelling. My great-grandmother was an artist, and I believe I inherited this creative spirit from her. Though I never had formal training, the love for painting seems to run in my blood. Each of my works reflects my connection with the natural world, everyday objects, and the emotional atmosphere that surrounds us.
My style ranges from realistic still life and landscapes to vibrant, expressive compositions that push the boundaries of color and mood. I often paint scenes from nature—towering mountains, crashing waves, quiet forests, or simple yet striking elements like pomegranates or sunflowers. Through these works, I aim to evoke calm, strength, and the enduring beauty in ordinary things.
Inspiration comes from many places: long walks in nature, the colors of my homeland, and the emotional charge of memories and dreams. My creative process is intuitive—I rarely plan my pieces in detail. Instead, I let the brush guide me, allowing the piece to grow organically, layer by layer.
Artists like Van Gogh and contemporary creators who balance realism with emotion have influenced me. Their work taught me that art doesn’t need to be perfect—it needs to be honest.
My intention is simple: to bring light, reflection, and connection into people’s lives. I want my art to feel familiar yet new, to remind viewers of places they’ve seen or feelings they’ve known, even if they can’t quite name them.
I see myself continuing to grow and explore as an artist—experimenting with new ideas while staying grounded in the beauty of simplicity. Art is a lifelong journey for me, and I’m just getting started.About the Product
Ember Storm is a powerful and emotionally charged portrait of a horse captured in motion. Using bold, expressive brushstrokes and a vivid palette of fiery reds, luminous pinks, deep purples, and electric blues, this painting evokes the untamed spirit of wild nature and inner resilience. The horse, set against a dark, dramatic background, becomes a symbol of energy, freedom, and raw emotion.
This piece blends abstraction with figurative clarity — not aiming for realism, but for intensity and movement. Each color and shape carries weight, building a composition that feels both mythic and alive.
This piece was born from a personal reflection on inner resilience — the fire that keeps burning even when the world feels dark or still. The horse came to symbolize that raw, untamed part of ourselves that refuses to be silenced. I was inspired by moments of emotional turbulence, where movement and color became a way to process intensity.
