About Anna Tasheva
I am a self-taught artist based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (originally from Ukraine), working primarily with oil on canvas. My artistic journey began with a deep-rooted passion for painting, which has evolved into a meaningful form of expression and storytelling. My great-grandmother was an artist, and I believe I inherited this creative spirit from her. Though I never had formal training, the love for painting seems to run in my blood. Each of my works reflects my connection with the natural world, everyday objects, and the emotional atmosphere that surrounds us.
My style ranges from realistic still life and landscapes to vibrant, expressive compositions that push the boundaries of color and mood. I often paint scenes from nature—towering mountains, crashing waves, quiet forests, or simple yet striking elements like pomegranates or sunflowers. Through these works, I aim to evoke calm, strength, and the enduring beauty in ordinary things.
Inspiration comes from many places: long walks in nature, the colors of my homeland, and the emotional charge of memories and dreams. My creative process is intuitive—I rarely plan my pieces in detail. Instead, I let the brush guide me, allowing the piece to grow organically, layer by layer.
Artists like Van Gogh and contemporary creators who balance realism with emotion have influenced me. Their work taught me that art doesn’t need to be perfect—it needs to be honest.
My intention is simple: to bring light, reflection, and connection into people’s lives. I want my art to feel familiar yet new, to remind viewers of places they’ve seen or feelings they’ve known, even if they can’t quite name them.
I see myself continuing to grow and explore as an artist—experimenting with new ideas while staying grounded in the beauty of simplicity. Art is a lifelong journey for me, and I’m just getting started.About the Product
This expressive painting presents a giraffe through bold abstraction and vibrant color contrasts. Intense blues, purples, and blacks form a dramatic backdrop, while fiery tones of orange, red, and yellow ignite the animal’s face, creating a powerful focal point. The dynamic brushstrokes and layered textures convey movement, strength, and quiet dignity.
The giraffe’s elongated form and tilted perspective invite the viewer into an intimate encounter, balancing vulnerability with resilience. Rather than realism, the work emphasizes emotion and character—transforming a familiar animal into a symbol of individuality, calm observation, and inner fire.
This piece celebrates the beauty of wildlife through contemporary expression, making it a striking statement artwork for modern interiors and curated collections.
