This painting is about a conscious love that comes with maturity. The love that comes from understanding the other person and loving everything you see in him. As true love is about seeing what's within, it's about understanding one's heart and soul without needing any words, any explanations. As when we love deeply a person, his souls is simply projected to us with all its light and darkness.
I picked sunflowers to depict this kind of love as sunflowers symbolize maturity for me. They are holding hundreds of seeds with so much love and care. They do not care about rain and winds and bad weather. They are programmed to love because they know the power of what they hold. And they never let go.
This original oil painting is made on stretched cotton canvas. Size is 50x60cm. Depth 2 cm.
