About Eric Pottier
Eric Pottier, a sculptor, born in 1966, was fascinated from an early age by conceptual art (Yves Klein, Marcel Duchamps) and surrealism (René Magritte).
His first masterpieces were influenced by industrial materials. To him, cement was necessary as a material because it was everywhere each day. By softening it up and constraining it, he managed to make it express the antithesis of what it represented. For example, his artwork "Les Cimentiques interprétation" (The Cementic interpretations).
His sculptures are polemical, expressive and poetical at the same time. Through his famous series, "The Anna chronicles" (Les Chroniques d'Anna), he looks after aesthetics of the object by taking back thepop culture codes placed within the pop art movement.
He presents an avant-garde idea in which the symbol of apple becomes its expressive base. He places himself as a simple spectator of our world taking us away to a utopic universe.About the Product
