About Geert Lemmers Fine Photo Art and paintings

In addition to the prints on Dibond or acrylic glass that I offer for photographic art and mixed media works, I can now also offer all these works as prints on canvas framed in black or clear frames for the same price. All these prints are produced by Whitewall.

My paintings are, of course, all unique. My photo and new media works usually have an edition of a maximum of 8 pieces per artwork, but some selected works are sold as unique (maximum 1 copy). You can discuss the design and size with me at any time. It is important to me that you are completely satisfied. Given the interest from galleries and museums, I would have to set the prices much higher, but I think reaching you as a collector / lover of good art is more important than making money.

About this artwork

Energy radiates through a chaotic, atmospheric painted composition. This artwork blends oil, acrylic, charcoal, and pastel into a dense layering of texture. Broad, sweeping strokes of white dominate the centre, creating a sense of movement and light. Deep blues and muted greys anchor the periphery, evoking a stormy or nocturnal setting. Occasional flashes of vivid yellow and burnt orange pierce the cool palette, adding warmth and tension.
The technique suggests a search for meaning within disorder. The artist moves away from figurative representation towards a highly simplified, abstract design. This shift prioritises raw emotion over literal form. Spontaneous marks collide with structured patches of colour, reflecting a fascination with the mystical and the unseen. Every gesture feels intentional yet liberating. The result is a visual exploration of the human condition, where beauty exists alongside imperfection. The composition remains open to interpretation, inviting the viewer to find their own narrative within the shifting layers of pigment. The final effect is a powerful balance of substance and ethereal mystery.
