Contemporary Abstract Fine Art Nude – Psychedelic Expressionism
When creating this image, I wanted to move beyond traditional nude photography and explore the human body as an abstract form of art.
I deliberately used an extreme colour treatment, combining electric blue, fluorescent green, vibrant magenta and touches of yellow. Against the deep black background, these colours transform the body into something almost surreal, creating the impression of a figure emerging from another dimension.
I particularly like the model's pose. One arm reaches above her head, while her hand partially covers her face. This creates a sense of mystery and introspection. Rather than revealing everything, I wanted to leave something to the viewer's imagination.
The flowing lines of the body, combined with the dramatic contrasts between light and darkness, give the composition an almost sculptural quality. The colours follow the natural contours of the figure, yet at the same time distort them, making it difficult to distinguish where photography ends and abstract painting begins.
For me, this image is about more than the beauty of the human body. It is about experimenting with colour, light, shape and perception. I wanted to create something unconventional, something that invites the viewer to look beyond the obvious.
Sometimes what remains hidden reveals the most.
