About Irina Wolfe

Irina Wolfe is a freelance photographer based in Millheim, USA, whose work is defined by a graphic designer’s eye and a sculptor’s sensibility. Her artistic foundation, built on illustration and graphic design, directly informs a photographic style centered on powerful composition. She is drawn to bold geometries, strong lines, and the deliberate use of contrast, negative space, and deep shadow.

Her journey began with a camera purchased out of an admiration for sculptural form, which evolved into a dedicated passion for the emotional clarity of black-and-white photography. This focus on tone and structure is occasionally punctuated by forays into color, often expressed through a minimalist lens—a practice that mirrors her pursuit of balance and simplicity beyond the frame.

About this Photograph

What I like about that picture is the central light that draws attention to the area where the round blur converges, creating a more vivid accent on the dragonflies. I enjoy adding depth to the movement with subtle shades of green and light blue. That shot was taken in the rice fields of Bali.
