Born in Gloucester, UK.

I suspect, like most figurative artists, I find drawing and painting the human form wholly embedded in human behaviour.

About this artwork

While in Lyme Regis, Dorset, it was possible to get very close to the herring gulls. I was able to leisurely study lots of them in varying poses. I wanted to pare back this painting to show only the essence of a gull.
