A malachite kingfisher is perched in profile on a dead tree stump in the sunshine, looking at the camera. It has brown eyes, a red beak, a brown, white and blue head, red feet and blue wings. Shot with a Nikon D810 in Chobe National Park in Botswana in April 2016.
