Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favourite.

Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.

This painting shows the Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla rising above the sea in Sitges (Spain), with the town’s famous mermaid sculpture seated below the steps. The warm stone of the church, the coastal light, and the quiet presence of the mermaid reflect the connection between the town, the sea, and its history. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
