About Natalia Shchipakina

Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favourite.

Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.

About this Artwork

St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City is captured in this painting. Against a vibrant abstract background of colorful squares, the magnificent Gothic structure stands tall and proud, its details and graceful spires reaching towards the heavens. The cathedral itself is depicted in soft, luminous tones, conveying a sense of ethereal beauty and peacefulness. The contrast between the dynamic, abstract background and the serene, majestic cathedral creates a dynamic tension that should draw the viewer in, inviting contemplation and reflection. When creating this painting, I used my own artistic style. Like my other works, this canvas conveys a positive charge to the viewer. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
