About Natalia Shchipakina
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favourite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.
The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.

Nestled among the sunlit peaks near the historic borderlands of France and Spain, an old mountain village unfolds along a winding stone road. Warm ochre houses with red roofs rise across the hillside, shaped by centuries of quiet rural life and Mediterranean mountain traditions. Soft colours and textured brushwork evoke the feeling of a place untouched by time, suspended between valleys, history, and open skies. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished. Note: the canvas frame has a slight misalignment of a few millimetres.
