About this artwork

The painting was started in the last weeks before the War. From the start the title was Soviet Fairground, and it referred to the past, which has to stay in the past forever, but the War changed a lot… Before, I felt the Soviet times were some weird part of history without understanding how dangerous these memories can be. Let's say this artwork is about my feeling about Soviet times before the War, when we, Ukrainians, were much softer and kinder.
