Artist

About Georgie

Georgie is an artist and maker with an interesting eye, an interesting self and something to say about life. Known for her bold, political and colourful prints and beautiful large scale murals, she is out making art in the world. There, her love of creating is combined with a joy for performing that shines through everything she touches.

With representation at the Westbank in London, It’s All 2 Much Gallery and Upfest Galleries in Bristol, her work is a force to be reckoned with. On top of that, she creates murals in front of audiences of tens of thousands at the last 5 Upfest Street Art Festivals from 2015-2020. She’s also had commissions for murals at Shangri-La in Glastonbury Festival and Boomtown Art Fair.
She sells regularly to collectors around the globe who see her star rising.

About this Edition

“If you believe you’re a citizen of the world, you’re a citizen of nowhere." Theresa May. Conservative Party Conference 2016.

The image of the young girl in this artwork comes from a photograph my friend Clementine took at the Calais 'Jungle' refugee camp whilst volunteering and taking supplies over earlier this year.

War and climate change are increasingly displacing populations around the world.

While the U.K. Government and media chooses to wage a propaganda war against refugees instead of offering asylum, volunteers on the ground are forced to provide the care and support that the state fails to deliver. Thousands of unaccompanied children remain in Calais and some are forced to sleep rough and are at risk of abuse, human trafficking, fascist vigilante groups and violence.
