Flaring Welsh Poppies, 2026

Welsh poppies seeded themselves in our garden, making a wonderful breakfast show. The dark backdrop elevated the floral gold and yellow variations as they seek the warmth of the sun. A colourful gesture of late spring, a fine incentive to make a painting of the scene.
