Born in Gloucester, UK.

I suspect, like most figurative artists, I find drawing and painting the human form wholly embedded in human behaviour.

About this artwork

Well, what can one say about a Still Life painting? It is what it is. This particular painting is a warm evocation of stuff that has been hanging around in my studio. Obviously the fruit didn't hang around that long as I ate the one and returned the other to my wife's kitchen. It may owe some homage to the Dutch school, but it was not my intention; I painted it with an unconscious hand and eye. It is painted on an EssDee canvas finish board.
