There really is a coastal path area in east Dorset UK called Scratchy Bottom. I walked it with my wife and its a glorious place with lush pasture and abrupt chalk white cliffs. It also has a Hardyesque sense of being unfrequented. Using my wife as the lonely figure, I have tried to capture this perception.
