About Hirotaka Suzuki

Perhaps I am painting the cruelty of contemporary life because it is in opposition to my naïve outlook.

In contrast to the physical features of my paintings, I think I am visualising my feeling of anxiety in contemporary life.

About this artwork

2001 is one of my favourite films. This film has been criticised and studied a lot... but I, somehow, don't think I understand the whole story. I want to finish figuring it out. However, I really like a bit of wonder being left.
