The work depicts Cesaria Evora, a Cape Verdean singer-songwriter nicknamed the «Barefoot Diva» (for performing without shoes) and the «Queen of Morna» (morna is a music genre from Cape Verde). The author of the painting used his own artistic technique, which made it possible to convey the depth of the singer's soul through her staring gaze. Canvas on a panel (cardboard).
