About Natalia Shchipakina
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favourite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.
The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.

Dionysos (or Dionysus) is the God of the grape-harvest, winemaking, festivity and theatre in ancient Greek religion and myths. He is also known as Bacchus (the name adopted by the Romans). This work is an attempt to combine the ancient art of sculpture, modern conceptual painting and my own colorful art style.
For this work I use a large canvas for a special majestic effect. In the background, white lilies are visible, which are complemented by green and blue tones. Varnished. Signed.
