About Natalia Shchipakina
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favourite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.
The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.

Hermes is an ancient Greek god of trade, fortune, youth and eloquence. The patron saint of heralds, ambassadors, shepherds, travellers. Also known as Mercury in Roman religion and mythology. For Romans he was the god of financial gain, commerce, eloquence, messages, communication, travellers, boundaries, luck, trickery, and thieves; he also serves as the guide of souls to the underworld. The concept of the painting is an attempt to unite ancient sculpture and contemporary painting. Oil, canvas, varnished. Signed.
