About this Artwork

The evocation for this painting (and other anarkali paintings) was a trip to India in 2014. This young women was seen at the Taj Mahal in Agra. Her anarkali dress was so brilliantly colourful and demeanour so natural. The style has a nod towards the traditional Indian Mogul paintings.
